Adventure is life and simplicity is key. The barefoot feel is everything right, but up until now the options have been to wear bulky foot protection or deal with the cuts. Wearing regular surf socks or booties, I just couldn’t feel the board or grip with my toes while kitesurfing so I had to endure cold injured feet for too many years. One day I sliced my foot on some oyster shells which required 6 stitches and waaaay too much time off the water waiting to heal 😤

I thought there must be an alternative that would prevent this… and that's when I found out about this ‘outta-this-world’ fibre which boasts a tensile strength of 15x that of steel whilst being lightweight and comfortable to wear. Honestly, it sounded too good to be true, and was kinda skeptical.

We had the first pairs made. As scary as it was, the first thing I did was try to cut my foot with a german steel knife… 🔪 the sock worked!
